Our sincerest appreciation to you for your grace, patience, and kindness as we seek to successfully navigate this new normal. That being said, please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the current adjustments being made at Taylortown Reception Hall, which simultaneously adhere to the state of Louisiana COVID-19 guidelines, re-opening phases and provide a safe, sanitized environment for your special events.
If you are interested in taking a tour of our beautiful property, let us know! Venue viewings are scheduled by appointment only, Monday through Thursday. And, until it has been deemed safe to forego current health and safety procedures, tours will only be conducted under the following guidelines:
- Sick, feverish or be COVID-19 positive individuals will not be permitted entrance
- Maximum two (2) guests permitted per tour (Great time to FaceTime the tour for others!)
- Person(s) must wear facial mask(s) for the duration of tour
- The 6ft social distance rule does apply
- Be prepared with questions and cameras
- Tours will last no more than 20 minutes, therefore, guests must be on time
RESERVATIONS & DEPOSITS
Reservations for Taylortown Reception Hall are accepted on a first-come first-served basis only. A signed rental agreement and $250 security deposit are required to reserve a date. Your date is not confirmed until both of those conditions are met, and you have received an email confirmation from Taylortown Reception Hall. Reservations not secured with full deposit within three (3) days of booking will automatically cancel.
We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express. Deposits paid for a reservation of a date are transferable to another date (if available within the current calendar year). After seven (7) days, all deposits are subject to the cancellation policy. (See Cancellation Policy)
The balance of the rental is due 30 days in advance of the rental date. If the reservation date is within 30 days, full payment including security deposit is due at booking.
The security deposit will be returned within three to five business days after your event, unless there were damages, cleaning and or any other violations of the Property Terms and Conditions, which will result in a forfeiture of full security deposit.
One-third of the balance is due at 90 days, 60 days and final balance being paid 30 days prior to the event. A Grace Period of three days following the 30-day balance due date is permitted; however, a 10% late fee on the remaining balance will be added to renter’s account. If payment of full balance is not made before the fourth day following the 30-day balance benchmark date, then the event will be cancelled without refund of any deposit or final payments.
If renter cancels agreement within seven (7) days of signing, a 50% fee will be assessed, taking from the total security deposit.
Cancellation after seven (7) days will result in the forfeiture of the entire security deposit.
In the event that a renter has prepaid rental fees and wishes to cancel the agreement, a full refund will be issued if cancelled 60 days prior to the event. A 50% refund will be issued if cancelled 30 days prior to the event. No refund of rental fees if cancellation is made less than 30 days prior to the event.
CAPACITY & SEATING
Taylortown Reception Hall is committed to the health and wellness of its facility, staff, patrons, guests and vendors. Therefore, we are closely monitoring and adhering to the state of Louisiana COVID-19 guidelines issued for safely re-opening by Phases.
The re-opening of the state of Louisiana entered Phase One on May 18, 2020. Each subsequent phase will communicate maximum indoor/outdoor occupancy limits, which will directly affect the number of guests permitted for your special event. Indoor available seating will reflect current indoor occupancy percentage. Be advised that it is your responsibility to edit your guest count in accordance with state mandated occupancy limits, which must also include all onsite vendors. Otherwise, on the day of your event the staff of Taylortown Reception Hall will limit the number of guests onsite to reflect current occupancy limits. Please note that failure to abide by current occupancy maximums will result in immediate termination of event and forfeiture of all monies included security deposit.
Below is a quick guide to the maximum number of guests permitted per current and anticipated occupancy allowances.
- 25% Maximum Occupancy = 31 Guests (May 15, 2020)
- 50% Maximum Occupancy = 62 Guests (June 5, 2020)
- Phase 3 (modified) mandates a 50% Maximum Occupancy = 62 Guests (Sept. 11, 2020)
- Phase 2 mandates a 50% Maximum Occupancy = 62 Guests (November 24, 2020)
- Phase 2 mandates a 50% Maximum Occupancy or up to 62 guests (Dec. 22, 2020)
- 75% Maximum Occupancy = 93 Guests (March 2, 2021)
- 100% Maximum Occupancy = 125 Guests (TBD)
Outdoor events are not limited to an occupancy capacity; however, strict social distancing rules apply. Therefore, patrons must ensure that seating rentals are arranged with a minimum of six (6) feet of distance per guest.
